It’s dinnertime and you’re invited to a meal so good, it’s to die for!  The audience is served delectable hors d' oeuvres, but they don’t just sit back and watch; each person must cast their vote for whodunit! Will the murderer be ferreted out? Will the feud ever be reconciled? What are the hidden truths about what happened all those years ago?


Dearly Departed

Brought to by John Ashton, who you'll remember from last year.  We're still in negotiations on this one...stay tuned!

Departed , written by David Bottrell and Jessie Jones, is a comedy about the Turpins, a family that proves that living and dying in the backwoods of the deep South is seldom tidy but always hilarious.


Senior Class Play: Headin for the Hills

Tickets $5: available from members of the senior class, La Veta High School Office...or at the door.

This will sell out fast, so get your tickets early.


Murder on the Train

June 4th, 5th & 6th; Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Retribution on the Rails  or Trouble at Twin Peaks .  Written by Murder Ink. Get tickets from Rio Grande Scenic Railroad.  The train will leave La Veta at 2:00 pm, but before it reaches its destination of Fir, a murder will take place!  Bob Ford, the historic, cowardly killer of Jessie James will be on board.  Patrons will solve the dasterdly crime on the train, which will arrive back in La Veta at 5:00 pm. 


Old West Saloon Nite

June 5th; Saturday

Old West Saloon Nite. Gamblers, Gunslingers and Soiled Doves enjoy an evening of Libations and Gaiety. There's only one night a year Bob Ford's historic bar in the Francisco Fort Museum saloon is put back in service and Saturday, June 5th 2010 is the Nite!  Music, Bed Races, Chicken Dropping, Food and More. Saloon Dress is encouraged but not required.  

This is a museum fund-raiser; always the 1st Saturday in June!
